Career

Having graduated in 2013 with honours from the Faculty of Law of the University of Florence, he presented his thesis on Comparative Administrative Law, entitled “Aggiudicazione illegittima e sorte del contratto di appalto pubblico, con una comparazione con l'ordinamento spagnolo”. Throughout his time at university, Marco also successfully completed the courses “International Commercial Arbitration” and “EU Private International Law” at the Uppsala Universitet – Faculty of Law (Sweden).

He began practising law at the HLT Law Firm, with whom he continues to work also following acceptance to the Florence Bar Association.

Additionally, Marco taught the course, “The role of the RUP in the new Code of Public Procurement” at the Fondazione dell’Ordine degli Architetti di Firenze.

Main areas of practice

Marco’s professional experience has mainly been gained in administrative law, with particular regard to the field of public procurement and, more generally, public procurement procedures.

He has collaborated in providing technical consultancy regarding public procurement in the context of criminal proceedings, offering advice and assistance to general contractors and private companies in drafting documentation and in the management of tender process phases.

Marco also provides legal assistance especially in the fields of public and private procurement, as well as regarding construction and planning in favour of local authorities and private entities before the administrative courts and in civil matters, with collaboration in the assistance given by Studio HLT in the field of administrative and accounting responsibility and of entities with public participation.

Marco also handles matters of private law, offering judicial and extrajudicial advice and assistance relating to contracts and contractual obligations, medical liability and real estate rights.
